With the introduction of the Pastoral Parish Council in our Diocese, we have set out a mission statement that reads

St Edwards Parish sees itself as a Eucharistic Community
seeking to grow in Love and Unity
so that the wider community in which it lives
may come to recognise the
Love and Power of God

St Edwards Parish is proud of both the Prayer and Social Groups it has in its Parish. The Prayer Groups meet on a Weekly basis and these include: Rosary Group Mustard Seed Mustard Tree (Monthly) After Mass on Wednesday morning, there is a discussion (about 1 hour) Journey into Faith. You are openly invited to participate whenever you can manage. Justice and Peace Journey into Faith Social Activities are arranged throughout the Year

Members of our Parish participate in annual pilgrimages to Lourdes and a retreat to Ampleforth. The Spiritual rewards gained by those participating, is always rewarding to hear, both the spiritual and social experiences, gained from these pilgrimages.

We also have Eucharistic Services throughout the parish, twice a year, at Advent and Pentecost.

The success and satisfaction we achieve from our Eucharistic Services has to be credited to our Parish Representives. It is to their credit that these Services are well attended and Spiritual rewards gained by all is to the benefit of our Parish

We are fortunate to own facilities that caters for all sorts of functions. Our Cass Community Centre has two spacious rooms and a small meeting room that has facilities that can cater for a wide variety of functions. Visit this page for some of the functions that it is used for.

St Edwards has a very commited team of Altar Servers. They have a vital role to play in all of our Church Services.

Not all of our Ministry is done by the Parish Priest. We have a team of Catechists who assist with development of our Sacramental beliefs. Meetings are arranged, depending on the Sacrament.
