Father John Coutts. Died 5th June, 1965.
Fr Coutts was ordained on 16th December, 1917. He was Curate in St. Cuthbert's, Stockton-on-Tees, until 1924 when he moved to Whitley Bay as Curate, leaving there in August 1929 for Blaydon. In June 1932 he was appointed Parish Priest of Easington Lane and remained there until his death.
